Abstract
Diese Bachelorarbeit versucht den Wert der Selbstbestimmung im Werke Iphigenie auf Tauris von Johann Wolfgang von Goethe darzustellen. Jede der Hauptfiguren in diesem Werk hat eine eigene Weltanschauung, ein Verlangen nach Unabhängigkeit und eine Seele, die dessen Begehren und Bedarf darstellen. Das Recht zur Selbstbestimmung scheint heute ein Grundrecht zu sein, aber es war nicht so lange her, da musste man für sein Recht zu existieren kämpfen, und es war schwer, zur Freiheit zu kommen. Die Gesellschaft hatte strenge Regeln, an die man sich halten musste, was einigen heute als undenkbar vorkommt. Das Diskussionsthema sind die vielen Lebensarten und Erwartungen der Hauptfiguren, die durch das Schicksal verbunden sind. Es gibt einen großen Kontrast zwischen der älteren und jüngeren Generation, von denen eine nach ihren eigenen Regeln lebt und ihre eigenen Entscheidungen trifft und die andere Tradition bevorzugt und ihren Pflichten folgt.
Abstract (croatian)
Ovaj završni rad pokušava pokazati vrijednost samoodređenja u djelu Ifigenija na Tauridi Johanna Wolfganga von Goethea. Svi glavni likovi unutar ovog djela imaju svoj pogled na svijet, želju za neovisnošću, te dušu koja prikazuje njihove žudnje i potrebe. Pravo na samoodređenje se danas čini kao osnovno pravo, ali donedavno se svatko morao boriti za svoje pravo da postoji, sloboda nije bila besplatna. Društvo je imalo stroga pravila, koja su ljudi morali poštivati, što je danas možda nekima nezamislivo. Glavna tema rasprave u ovom djelu su mnogi načini života i očekivanja ovih glavnih likova, koji su povezani sudbinom. Postoji velika razlika između starije i novije generacije, od kojih jedna pokušava živjeti po svojim pravilima, i donositi svoje odluke, dok druga preferira tradiciju i poštuje dužnosti.
Abstract (english)
This bachelor thesis will try to show the value of self-determination within the literary work Iphigenia in Tauris, written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The main characters all have their own world views, desire for independence, and soul which display their wants and needs. The right to self-determination seems like a given right today, but until very recently, everyone had to fight for their right to exist, and freedom was not handed out for free. Society had strict rules people had to adhere to, which today may be unimaginable for some. The main talking point of this thesis are the many ways of life and expectations of these characters, who have been connected by fate. There is a stark contrast between the young and the generation, one of which tries to live by their own rules and makes their own choices, while the other prefers tradition and respects their duties.
