Abstract
U radu se polazi od teorijskog pojma knjižnice. U središtu rada je školska knjižnica i njezina uloga u nastavi hrvatskog jezika. U radu se provodi analiza zastupljenosti knjižnice, odnosno raznovrsnosti predstavljanja tema vezanih uz knjižnicu u čitankama za drugi, treći i četvrti razred osnovne škole. Analizom je utvrđeno da se teme o knjižnici isključivo javljaju u području medijske kulture. U radu su također istraženi pogledi učitelja razredne nastave o ulozi školske knjižnice u predmetu Hrvatski jezik. Analiza je pokazala da učitelji smatraju da je nedovoljno zastupljena tema knjižnice u Nastavnom planu i programu. Suradnja sa knjižnicom je kod većine učitelja povremena, a knjižničnu građu većina učitelja koristi za nastavu književnosti i lektire.

Parallel abstract (English)
The paper is based on the theoretical concept of the library. The primary focus is set on the school library and the role it has when it comes to teaching Croatian language in school. In this thesis the analysis of the representation of the library is carried out, so is the variety of presenting topics related to the library in textbooks for the second, third and fourth grade of elementary school. The analysis confirmed that the topics of the library exclusively occur in the domain of media culture. The paper also explored the opinions of the elementary teachers on the role that school libraries have when it comes to a Croatian language class. The analysis showed that teachers considered that the theme of the library is not enough represented in the Curriculum. Cooperation with the library and the teachers is occasional, and most of the teachers use the library material when they are teaching literature and giving out assignments for book reports.
