Abstract
Ekstrakt češnjaka (Allium sativum L.) mogao bi imati važnu ulogu u ekološkoj zaštiti bilja. Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti insekticidni učinak češnjaka na lisne uši (Insecta: Aphididae) u laboratorijskim uvjetima. Za istraživanje su se koristile različite koncentracije vodenog i alkoholnog ekstrakta domaćeg i kupovnog (kineskog) češnjaka (25%, 50% i 100%). Mortalitet lisnih ušiju je očitavan 24 i 48 sati nakon tretiranja. Rezultati su pokazali da postoje statistički značajne razlike u djelovanju uvoznog i domaćeg češnjaka. Ipak, prilikom tretiranja vodenom otopinom kineskog češnjaka nakon 24h i 48h zabilježen je veći postotak mortaliteta lisnih ušiju u odnosu na domaći češnjak. Domaći je pak imao bolji učinak tretiran alkoholnom otopinom, gdje je nakon 24h zabilježen mortalitet 100% u svim koncentracijama.

Garlic extract could have important role in ecological plant protection. This work aimed to investigate insecticidal effect of garlic on aphids (Aphididae) in laboratory conditions. Different concentrations of water and alcohol extract domestic and buying (chinese) of garlic have been used in this research (25%, 50% i 100%). Mortality of aphids has been measured 24 and 48 hours after the treatment. Results show that there are statistically important differences in effectiveness of imported and domestic garlic. However, when water extract was used, a higher mortality after 24 hours and 48 hours percentage has been recorded when using the chinese garlic as opposed to the domestic garlic. The domestic garlic was more efficient when alcohol extract was used, where a 100% mortality has been recorded after 24 hours in all concentrations.
