Abstract Čitanje je višeslojan, složen proces usvajanja teksta pomoću prethodnog poznavanja jezika i pisma. Ono ima izrazit utjecaj na daljnji razvoj pojedinca, a time i samog društva. Danas, u digitalnom dobu, knjige su dostupnije, a čitateljske navike se mijenjaju sukladno tomu. Cilj ovoga rada je istražiti povezanost čitalačkih navika od ranog djetinjstva do odabira studija, odnosno zanimanja vezanih uz knjigu i čitanje. Istraživanje će se provesti putem online ankete, a ispitanici će biti studenti informacijskih znanosti, nastavničkih studija (hrvatskog jezika i književnosti, francuskog, njemačkog, engleskog i drugih ‘jezičnih’ studija) te učiteljskog i predškolskog odgoja. Istraživačka pitanja na koja se ovim radom odgovara su: 1. Istražiti kakav je odnos studenata odabranih studijskih programa prema knjizi i čitanju. 2. Istražiti čitateljske navike studenata odabranih studijskih programa. 3. Istražiti utjecaj odnosa prema knjizi i čitanju na odabir studija/budućeg zvanja i zanimanja. U istraživanje se ulazi s pretpostavkom da ciljane skupine (budući knjižničari, učitelji, odgojitelji i nastavnici jezika, prvenstveno hrvatskog) su od najranijeg doba okružene knjigama te su odmalena razvili pozitivne stavove i osjećaje prema knjizi i čitanju. Pod okružene, misli se na svaki oblik prijenosa zapisanog teksta, dakle čitanje ili slušanje od roditelja i skrbnika prije nego su sami počeli čitati. Nadalje, istražit će se kako su se te navike mijenjale sukladno odrastanju te će se nastojati utvrditi povezanost čitalačkih navika od najranije dobi, sklonost knjigama i čitanju i povezanost s odabirom sadašnjeg studija, odnosno budućeg zanimanja.
Abstract (english) Reading is a multi-layered, complex process of learning a text using prior knowledge of the language and letters. It influences further development of the individual and with that, on society itself. Today, in digital age, books are easily accessible and reading habits are changing accordingly. Goal of this paper is to research the link reading habits of an individual from early childhood to college occupations related to books and reading. The research will be conducted by online surveys, respondents will be students of information sciences, teacher training (Croatian language and literature, French, German, English and other ‘language’ studies) and teacher and preschool education. The research questions that are answered in this paper are: 1. Research the relationship between students of selected study programs and book reading. 2. Research the reading habits of students of selected study programs. 3. Research the influence of books and reading on the choice of studies / future profession and occupation. The research uses the assumptions that the targeted groups (future librarians, teachers, educators and teachers of the language, primarily Croatian) have been surrounded with books since their childhood and have developed positive attitudes and feelings towards books and reading from an early age. surrounded, refers to any form of transmission of written text, i.e. reading or listening to parents and guardians read to them, before they started reading on their own. Furthermore, it will be explored how have these habits changed as they grew up and efforts will be made to determine the connection between reading habits from the earliest age, tendency for books and reading, and a connection with the choice of the present study and future occupation.
