Abstract U radu se obrađuje problematiku robne burze, te njena uloga i značenje u međunardnom
poslovanju. Rad nastoji odgovoriti na pitanja koliko su burze bitne u današnjem poslovanju.
Burze su jedan od najbitnijih čimbenika modernih financijskih sustava u tržišno razvijenim
gospodarskim sustavima današnjice. Na robnim burzama (engl. commodities exchange)
prodaje se roba po standardnoj oznaci burze (u kojoj su izražena sva obilježja te robe), u
odgovarajućim lotovima (količinama), tako da je svaka nova isporuka istovjetna prethodnoj.
To znači da na robnoj burzi nema robe nego se prodaje prema propisanim standardima.
Najčešće je riječ o robi kao što je: kava, šećer, žitarice, pamuk, obojeni metali itd. Burze su
se razvijale jako dugo kroz ljudsku povijest, od sastajanja trgovaca po gostionicama pa sve do
elektronske trgovine koju nam omogućavaju moderne tehnologije i internet. Terminsko tržište
predstavlja i potiče stabilnu poduzetničku klimu u kojoj se stvara investicijski optimizam, te
uvelike doprinosi razvoju gospodarstva dok terminski poslovi na robnim burzama
predstavljaju suvremeni oblik burzovnog poslovanja te su navedeni i objašnjeni primjeni
najbitnijih terminskih poslova na burzama, a to su forwardi, futuresi, opcije i swapovi. Rad je
koncipiran u 6 dijelova: Povijest robnih burzi, Organizacija robne burze, Poslovni na burzi,
Terminska tržišta, Robne burze u Svijetu i u Hrvatskoj, te na kraju Diskusija.
Abstract (english) The paper deals with the Commodity Exchange and it's role and meaning in international
business. The paper attempts to give an answer to the question why is stock market essential
for today's business. Exchanges are one of the most important factors of modern financial
systems, especially in developed markets of economic systems. On Commodity Exchanges
we can find the goods at the standard label by stock market (in which all characteristics of the
goods are expressed), the respective lots (quantity), so that each new delivery is identical as
previous. This means that there is no goods on commodity exchanges, however goods are
sold according to prescribed standards. Most goods on commodities exchange are like coffee,
sugar, cereals, cotton, non-ferrous metals, etc. Markets have been evolving a very long course
during human history, from the meeting of traders in the pubs all the way up to electronic
commerce, that allow us modern technology and the internet. Forward market represents and
promotes a stable business environment in which investment creates optimism, and greatly
contributes to economic development, while futures business on the commodity exchanges
are a modern form of stock market business and they are listed and explained in the
application of the most important futures at the stock exchanges, such as forwards, futures,
options and swaps. This work is divided into six parts: The history of Commodity markets,
Commodity Exchange organization, Business in the stock market, futures market, Commodity
Exchanges in the world and in Croatia, and in the end a discussion.
