Abstract Tržište rada, vrijednost plaća i životni standard neraskidivo su povezane odrednice gospodarskog razvoja. Bruto domaći proizvod jest pokazatelj ekonomskog razvoja zemalja. U skupini dunavskih zemalja, (Austrija, Bugarska, Njemačka, Hrvatska, Mađarska, Rumunjska, Moldavija, Srbija, Republika Slovačka i Ukrajina), hrvatski bruto društveni proizvod među najnižima je u Europi.
... More financijskog sektora, rekreacije i zabave. Stoga će, zbog aktualnosti problematike, tema ovog rada biti vrijednost plaća i tržište rada u Republici Hrvatskoj. Less
Abstract (english) Labour market, wage values and standard of living are inseparably related determinants of economic growth. GDP is the indicator of a countries economic development. In the group of danube countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Serbia, Slovak Republic and Ukraine), croatian GDP is amongst the lowest in Europe. Although present, wage increase in Croatia is selective in nature and includes certain economic activities, such as tourism, financial sector, fun and
... More recreation. Other sectors, such as construction and primary economic activities register a decline of real wages. Furthermore, despite increasing wages, Croatia lingers for the countries of the region. Moreover, wage increase is not a result of increasing labour productivity. In average, most of the income in Croatia is spent on food, as a result of not so high economic development. According to the EU methodology, Croatia is sorted in a group of western Balkans. Transition period in these countries has resulted in critical structural problems, such as – unemployment, long – term unemployment, low participation rates of the work force, disproportion between the needs of the labour market and the system of education, and, as a result of all those, negative demographic trends. According to Eurostat, living standard in Croatia in 2018 was amongst the lowest in EU (there is also a high percentage of the population that is living on the edge of poverty). Without the structural changes on the labour market, there is no chance that the living standard in Croatia is going to increase. Therefore, due to actuality of the topic, this paper will adress wage values and labour market in the Republic of Croatia. Less
