Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Aristotle's Metaphysics is one of the most important works of Greek philosophical thought. Namely, the metaphysics as science deals with the firt principals and the causes of a being as a being. If we want to consider talking about metaphysics at all, it is necessary to know the meaning that lies behind the notion being. For Aristotle a being is not a definite, nor an ambiguous, but an analoguous notion, wherefore it is also necessary to understand the concept of analogy. The basic meanings of being, which we encounter in Aristotle's Metaphysics, are substance, accident, being considered as truthful, and being as an act and potency. To explain in more detail the above mentioned terms, we will use works from authors such as F. Brentano, K. Oehler and similar. Finally, we will be able to observe the fundamental meanings of being, and through them we will come to the concept of a supreme being.
