Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
This B. A. thesis presents the results of qualitative research on the experience of everyday life of women who have attended and completed a course in autogenic training. The research was of exploratory nature, with the goal of creating preconditions for future interpretations of the place of practices such as autogenic training in everyday life of women in Croatian society. The employed method were semi-structured interviews, which were carried out with five women from Zadar and Split who have completed a course in autogenic training, and differ in their age, occupations, marital statuses, and having or not having children. In addition to offering an insight into the everyday life of the interviewed women, the results of the research suggest a certain mixture of different (traditional and modern) values and practices, while the very decision to take part in a course on an alternative psychological technique can to a certain degree be associated with values that are usually considered to be postmodern
