Abstract
U ovom završnom radu obradit će se područje Mediterana i zemalja koje ono obuhvaća. Turistički položaj zemalja, turistička ponude, znamenitosti, prirodne raznolikosti koje one imaju, njihov BDP, i kad se to ustanovi, povući će se usporedna crta s Hrvatskom, koja je također jedna od turističkih zemalja Mediterana i ima raznoliku turističku ponudu. U ovom radu pokušat će se prikazati konkurentnost Hrvatske na raznim poljima i uvjeti koje ona mora zadovoljiti da bi se poboljšala i bila pri samom vrhu u odnosu na ostale zemlje Mediterana, a i u odnosu na ostale svjetske turističke zemlje.Grafikonima i tablicama bit će prikazani realni rezultati i moći će se na temelju njih odrediti položaj Hrvatske i ostalih zemalja i doći do realnog zaključka.

Parallel abstract (English)
In this final paper the Mediterranean area will be discussed, i.e. the countries that it covers. A parallel of their touristic position, touristic offer, sights, natural diversities, their GDP will be drawn to Croatia, which is as well a Mediterranean country and has a diverse touristic offer. In this paper there will be an attempt to show the competitiveness of Croatia in various fields and the requirements that it has to satisfy in order to improve and to be at the very top compared to other Mediterranean countries, also compared to other world touristic countries. Charts and graphs will give an insight to the situation and and enable to draw realistic conclusions of Croatia's position.
