Abstract
Internet je jedan od najrazvijenijih medija, te također i najbrže rastući medij ikad. Kada se vratimo natrag u povijest to se može i vidjeti iz činjenica da je televiziji trebalo 13 godina da stekne 50 milijuna korisnika, a radiju 38, dok je internet je to uspio u samo četiri godine. Kako se razvijao internet krenuo je i razvoj društvenih mreža te besplatnih online servisa koji omogućuju komunikaciju i povezivanje korisnika Na postavljeno pitanje o utjecaju društvenih mreža na turizam grada Šibenika putem različitih vrsta istraživanja dobiven je detaljan prikaz povezanosti šibenskog turizma i društvenih mreža, kao i interneta općenito. Analizom pojave društvenih mreža, te utjecajem istih na turizam, kao i prezentacijom grada Šibenika i njegovih znamenitosti i atrakcija dobiven je općeniti prikaz koji se kasnije putem ankete povezao u detaljno istraživanje u kojem je definirano koliko atrakcije grada Šibenika na društvenim mrežama imaju utjecaja na unaprjeđenje poslovanja turističke zajednice grada Šibenika.

Internet is one of the most developed media, and also the fastest growing medium ever. This can be proved just by going backin history and defining the fact that the television needed 13 years to acquire 50 million users, the radio 38, while the internet managed to do this in only four years. As the Internet evolved the development of social networking started, as well as free online services which allow you to communicate and connect users When asked about the impact of social networks on the tourism for the town of Šibenik, different types of research are made and from that we obtained a detailed statement about the relationship between Šibenik tourism and social networks, as well as the Internet in general. By he analysis of the phenomena of social networks and their influence on tourism, as well as the presentation of the town of Šibenik and its sights and attraction, we obtained a general view which is later connected through a survey in a detailed study which defines how much influence the attractions of the town of Šibenik have on the business development of the Šibenik tourist board.
