This graduate thesis could structurally be divided into two main units: the first one about the emergence and development of the Zagreb School of Animated Film and its most significant authors, and the second one about Dušan Vukotić, one of its greatest creators. The first ensemble begins with a historical review of the Zagreb School of Animated Film and deals with her most significant authors starting with Sergij Tagatz, Pole with the name of which are the first animated films in the areas of the former Yugoslavia. Through the brothers Neugebauer, the followers of Disney animation, Duga Film, a company that proved to be an important link despite its exceptionally short duration until the golden age, we can see how an animated film was developed in the area in Zagreb of that age, and through some difficulties that authors of the Zagreb School have had in their own creation. Also, at this time of unbeatable Disney, many original and author-unique works by Kostelac, Mimica, Kristl, Vukotić and other authors presented a completely new and modern vision of an animated film, which for this uniqueness was rewarded with numerous world and national acclaims. In the second part, the main subject is Dušan Vukotić, one of the founders of the Zagreb School of Animated Films and one of the world's greatest animators in the world of animation. Vukotić is one of the authors who have made the Zagreb School of Animated Films the most recognizable in the world with their originality and modern vision. His achievements such as Osvetnik, Koncert za mašinsku pušku, Piccolo, Surogat and Igra best illustrate the tendencies of the Zagreb School, and the concept of a cartoon film has received a profound philosophical dimension through these works. In addition, the paper emphasizes the artwork and Vukotić's visual solutions that at that time the reign of classic Disney animation, along with all the other elements of animated film, still showed the prestigious Oscar. At the end of the work, it is briefly about the art of Dušan Vukotić from a deeper philosophical aspect.
