Abstract
U radu se prikazuju osnovne postavke kognitvne lingvistike te konceptualne metafore koja je zaživjela knjigom Metaphors We Live By (1980.) George Lakoffa i Mark Johnsona. Na temelju analize prijepisa razgovora između psihoterapeuta i klijenta želi se prikazati temeljna postavka konceptualne metafore: koncepti upravljaju našim načinom mišljenja, ponašanja, određuju što opažamo i kako se odnosimo prema drugima, a uvjetovani su čovjekovom kulturom, iskustvom i biologijom.
Abstract (english)
The paper presents the core ideas of cognitive linguistics and conceptual metaphors that started in book Metaphors We Live By (1980) written by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson. Based on the analysis of the transcript of the conversation between the psychotherapist and the client, the aim is to present the fundamental ideas of conceptual metaphors: concepts govern our way of thinking, our behavior, they determine what we observe and how we deal with others whereas other are conditioned by human culture, experience and biology.
