Abstract U diplomskom radu istražuje se tipologija obiteljskih zajednica te njihova uloga na odabranom korpusu dječjih i adolescentskih romana Mire Gavrana. Zahvaljujući tome oni usvajaju određene vrijednosti, stavove i time oblikuju svoju osobnost. U dječjim romanima prevladavaju krnje, reformirane, suvremene urbane i tradicionalno patrijarhalne. dok u adolescentskim postoji obitelj praznog gnijezda, tradicionalno disfunkcionalna, vedra i luckasta obitelj te supstitucijska obiteljska zajednica.
Abstract (english) The subject of research of this dissertation is the typology of family communities and their role on the selected corpora of children and adolescent novels of Miro Gavran. Motiffs of family and love are two of the major, and also two most important motiffs of Gavran's literary work. Family is the most important, primary community in which a child's personality is developed. Social life imposes the need to create new family roles and communities, and also new models for their realizations. In the selected corpora of Gavran's novels we find, when it comes to worldviews, traditional and modern family relationships. In these novels parents greatly shape the main characters' personality development. Thanks to that, they adopt certain values and stances and thus shape their own personality. In the first, theoretical part of the dissertation an overview of Croatian children and family novel is presented. The research part of the dissertation includes eleven novels through their literary and theoretical interpretation. A handful of novels belong to the children-themed bibliography: Sretni dani, Svašta u mojoj glavi, Kako je tata osvojio mamu, Zaljubljen do ušiju,Kako smo lomili noge i Ljeto za pamćenje, and other novels belong to the adolescent-themed bibliography: Profesorica iz snova, Zaboravljeni sin ili AnĎeo iz Omorine, Pokušaj zaboraviti, Oproštajno pismo, the last novel being Nekoliko ptica i jedno nebo. In the modern family communities we recognize two structural models of family: partial (single-parent) and nuclear, that can be functional and dysfunctional. The children novels are dominated by partial, reformed, modern urban and traditional patriarchal, while the adolescent novels are dominated by empty-nest families, traditional dysfunctional, cheerful, silly and substitute family community.
