Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Implementation of the initial organizational structure is only the first step through numerous challenges for an organization that strives to growth and develop. While growing and aging, improved business requires modification of organizational structure. Traditional organizational structures have a high degree of formalization, and limited employee autonomy, which affects the overall market performance. In the global information age, companies increasingly realize the importance of the organizational structure that will be suitable to their vision, mission and objectives, and due to that, they implement modern organizational structures. These structures don`t eliminate traditional ones. Instead, they incorporate organic elements in them. Just like living organisms, organizations in their development go through a life cycle. Many authors have tried to contribute to the theoretical models of the life cycle, where each stage has its specific problems, and this area is extremely susceptible to criticism. Aging company becomes inert and inflexible, which threatens its survival. The research results show that aging organization can survive if it is willing to change, is inventive and works in accordance with the needs of the modern market, if it regularly reviews the organizational structure as a skeleton of its business, and most importantly, if it promptly responds to organizational changes in the way that creates the capability of converting weaknesses into strengths, and threats into opportunities.
