Abstract
Tema mog rada bila je „Novelistika Slavka Kolara“. Rad sam podijelila na osam poglavlja. Interpretirala sam njegov široki opus novela prema klasičnoj podjeli na tri tematska kruga. U drugom poglavlju iznijela sam biografske i bibliografske podatke o Slavku Kolaru. Rođen je 1891. godine u selu Palešniku. Njegovo djetinjstvo bilo je vezano uz Moslavinu. Najplodnije književno razdoblje Kolar ostvaruje u turopoljskom kraju, kada je bio postavljen za upravnika Državnog uglednog dobra Hruševac. Najpoznatije su mu zbirke Nasmijane pripovijesti (1917.), Ili jesmo ili nismo (1933.), Mi smo za pravicu (1936.), Svoga tela gospodar (1942.), Natrag u naftalin (1946.), Glavno da je kapa na glavi (1956.). Objavljujući svoju prvu zbirku za vrijeme 1. svjetskog rata Kolar nastavlja crtu humoristične novele kakvu su tijekom 19. stoljeća razvijali Vilim Korajac, Janko Jurković i Josip Eugen Tomić. Miroslav Šicel Kolara svrstava u razdoblje sintetičkog realizma. U svojim novelama opisuje bitne socijalne i nacionalne probleme svojega vremena. Cilj rada bio je da se pobliže sagleda narav Kolarova humora. Šicel navodi dva termina koja su vezana uz stilske osobitosti Kolarova proznog diskursa. To su humor situacije i humor karaktera. Kolarova novina leži u činjenici da je stvarao vedar ugođaj oko tragike konkretnih zbivanja. Prema Cvitanovu mišljenju Kolar nije satiričan već humorističan. Satira je bliska okrutnosti ali Kolar nije okrutan prema svojim likovima već ih ismijava. Tri tematska kruga novela dijelimo na novele iz malograđanskog života u koji spada zbirka Nasmijane pripovijesti (1917.). Sam Kolar je izjavio kako ga je pisanje prve zbirke razočaralo jer je ograničio ambicije samo na površne i zabavne humoreske. Drugom tematskom krugu pripadaju novele iz seoskog života sa zbirkom Mi smo za pravicu (1936.). Njegovi književno najzreliji radovi objavljeni su u ovoj zbirci. Njegove najpoznatije novele jesu „Breza“ i „Svoga tela gospodar“. Osim što je na komičan način dočarao seosku grubost Kolar je majstorski opisao tragičan položaj žene u zatvorenoj i primitivnoj seoskoj sredini. Opisao je psihu tragičnih ženskih likova koje u sebi nose tragičnu poantu koja proizlazi iz socijalnih i ekonomskih odnosa na selu zaostalosti, što vrlo često završava osobnim tragedijama. Trećem krugu pripadaju novele iz građanskog života. U ovom opusu Kolar je dokazao kako nije samo pisac Labudana, Futača, nego zreli književnik koji je jednako vrsno opisao i seljake i intelektualce. Na samom kraju može se zaključiti kako je Kolarov humor diskretan. Zahvaljujući bogatom opusu novela Kolar je pokazao kako je bio humorist koji je osjećao svoje likove sa srcem i dušom povrh svega

The theme of this paper is novelistic opus of Slavko Kolar. The work is divided into eight parts. I interpreted his vast opus of novellas according to the classical division in three thematic circles. Throughout the second chapter I presented biographical and bibliographical details about Slavko Kolar. He was born in 1891 in the village Palešnik. He spent his childhood in Moslavina and maintained a strong connection with it. His most fruitful period is noted in Turopolje where he was appointed for director of state property Hruševac. His most notable works are: Nasmijane Pripovijesti (1917.), Ili jesmo ili nismo (1933.), Mi smo za pravicu (1936.), Svoga tela gospodar (1942.), Natrag u naftalin (1946.), Glavno da je kapa na glavi (1956.). During the First World War he published his first collection of novellas continuing a dash of humorous novellas which was developed by Vilim Korajac, Janko Jurković and Josip Eugen Tomić in the 19th century. Miroslav Šicel places Kolar in the period of synthetic realism. He describes significant social and national problems of his time. The aim of this work was to explore in more detail his nature of humor. Šicel cites two terms connected with the stylistic particularities of Kolar’s prose discourse: comedy of situation and comedy of character. His novelty is based on the fact that he created a lighthearted ambiance around tragic events. Cvitanov explains that he is not satirical, but humorous. Satire represents harshness, yet Kolar is not harsh to his characters, but he ridicules them. Three thematic circles of novellas are divided in novellas of petty-bourgeois lives which include the collection Nasmijane pripovijesti (1917.) Kolar himself asserted that he was disappointed by his first collection because of limited ambiance only on superficial and humorous level. Novellas concerned with rural life belong to the second thematic circle, specifically the collection Mi smo za pravicu (1936.). His most mature works are published in this collection. Most notable collections are „Breza“ and „Svoga tela gospodar“, in addition to depict evoked cruelty humorously, Kolar masterly introduced a tragic position of women in closed and primitive rural environments. He described psycho-tragic female characters, whose tragic nature is a consequence of social and economic relations in rural conservative areas, who 50 often end in personal tragedies. The third thematic circle includes bourgeois novellas. Throughout his opus Kolar proved that he is not only a writer of Labudan and Futač, but also a mature literate who described with equal notability villagers and intellectuals. All in all, it can be concluded that his humor is discrete. Thanks to the rich opus of novellas Kolar showed that he was a humorist who felt his characters with heart and soul above everything else.
