Abstract
Kič je moderan pojam čiji se početci u stručnoj literaturi definiraju od romantizma i početka industrijalizacije. Povezuje ga se lošim ukusom, pretjeranom sentimentalnošću te hiperprodukcijom umjetnosti u degradirajućem smislu. Problematika postojanja kiča i njegove sveprisutnosti je fenomen modernog i postmodernog društva. Uočavanjem oblika kiča na područjima ljudskog djelovanja pokušalo se doći do odgovora na pitanja o biti postojanja kiča te njegovih odjeka u suvremenom društvu. Evolucija pojma kiča u radu je provučena kroz pojam društvenih mreža i masovnih medija u čijem negativnom djelovanju možemo prepoznati elemente kiča. Razine društva u kojima se kič pojavljuje su raznolike, a time i motivi posezanja za korištenjem kiča. Svjesnost o kiču i namjera njegove upotrebe glavni su detektori njegove stvarne uloge u društvu, kulturi i umjetnosti.
Abstract (english)
Kitsch is a modern concept whose beginnings in professional literature are defined by romanticism and the start of industrialization. It is associated with bad taste, excessive sentimentality and overproduction of art in a degrading sense. The problem of its existence and omnipresence is a phenomenon of modern and postmodern society. By observing the appearance forms of kitsch in the areas of human activity we are trying to answer the questions about its existence and influence in modern society. In this paper, the evolution of this concept is connected with the concepts of social networks and mass media in whose negative effects we can recognize elements of kitsch. The levels of society in which kitsch appears are varied, and therefore so are the motives for using it. The awareness about kitsch and its purpose are the key detectors of its realistic role in society, culture and art.
