Abstract
This diploma thesis focuses on Anglicisms in Croatian and Russian mass media discourse. The corpus of fifty Anglicisms from each language was analysed on the orthographic and semantic level of the language. The whole analysis was created in the frame of the Contact Linguists according to the theory of Croatian linguist Rudolf Filipović. The type and the historical circumstances of the language contact between English and the Russian and the Croatian language were examined and elaborated. This work has proven that language borrowing is a universal phenomenon and consistent process which has a significant influence on the language system and can be analysed from the linguistic perspective.

Ovaj diplomski rad usredotočen je na anglicizme u hrvatskom i ruskom diskursu masovnih medija. Korpus od pedeset anglicizama iz ruskog i hrvatskog analiziran je na ortografskoj i semantičkoj razini jezika. Cijela analiza izrađena je prema teoriji hrvatskog jezičara Rudolfa Filipovića. Analiza je napravljena u okviru teorije discipline kontaktne lingvistike. Rad sadrži i objašenjenje o povijesnim okolnostima jezičnog kontakta između engleskog i ruskog i hrvatskog jezika. Ovaj rad je dokazao da je jezično posuđivanje univerzalan fenomen i stalan proces koji ima značajan utjecaj na jezični sustav i može se analizirati iz jezične perspective.
