Abstract
Otoci Cres i Lošinj s pripadajućim otocima (Ilovik i Sv.

Parallel abstract (English)
Islands Cres and Lošinj, along with associated islands (Ilovik and St. Petar, Unije, Vele and Male Srakane, Susak, Oruda and Palacol, Vele Orjule) were important points alongside the coast of eastern Adriatic waterway in antique period, all which is seen in many underwater sites. So called Amber road went through hereabout so the Greeks called these island „Electrides“, which, in translation, means amber islands. Also, the name „Apsyrtides“ is connected to these islands. The name arose from the mythological interpretation of tragic faith of Apsyrt, son of Etea, Colchis king. The most significant point in Cres – Lošinj archipelagos was the antique town of Apsorus (Osor today). Finding of bronze Apoxiomen statue at Vele Orjule is the only such finding in the seabed of eastern Adriatic coastline. Archipelagos is abundant with underwater findings as well as with findings on land.
