Abstract
Tema diplomskog rada je Upravljanje ljudskim potencijalima u turizmu u kontekstu cjeloživotnog obrazovanja u gradu Zadru. Rad se sastoji od teorijskog dijela u kojem je prikazana problematika teme, dok se u drugom dijelu spominje istraživanje provedeno u svrhu pisanja ovog diplomskog rada. Teorijska razrada teme sastoji se od teorijskih saznanja o ljudskim potencijalima, cjeloživotnom obrazovanju te obrazovanju u području turizma. Definiran je pojam ljudskih potencijala u sklopu menadžmenta ljudskih potencijala. Opisano je cjeloživotno obrazovanje te njegovi oblici. Obrazloženo je obrazovanje u turizmu kroz formalni, neformalni i informalni oblik. Predmet primarnog istraživanja je ispitivanje ulažu li organizacije ili institucije u turizmu u sustavno obrazovanje svojih zaposlenika. Podaci su prikupljeni pomoću anketa. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 103 ispitanika zaposlenih u hotelima, turističkim agencijama, hostelima te ostalim objektima uključenim u turističke aktivnosti na području grada Zadra u kojima postoji mogućnost cjeloživotnog obrazovanja. Organizacije u Zadru koje ulažu u ljudske potencijale poticanjem cjeloživotnog obrazovanja su ujedno i konkurentnije organizacije od organizacija koje ne ulažu u ljudske potencijale. Većina ispitanika smatra da bi se ulaganjem u obrazovanje povećalo njihovo zadovoljstvo na radnom mjestu. Također, većina ispitanika pokazala je interes za takvim vidom usavršavanja. Veliki broj ispitanika smatra nezainteresiranost poslodavca te neznanje kao osnovne razloge zbog kojeg se ne provodi cjeloživotno obrazovanje.

The topic of this thesis is Human resource management in the context of lifelong learning in the city of Zadar. The thesis consists of teorethical part which demonstrates the issue of the topic, whilst the other part consists of research conducted for the purpose of this thesis. Theoretical elaboration of the topic consists of the theorethical insights concerning the human resources, lifelong learning and the education in the context of tourism. The definition of human potentials within the context of human resources management has been defined. Also, the lifelong learning and all its forms have been defined. The education in tourism had been elaborated through formal, non formal and informal form. The topic of the primary research is examination whether the organizations or institutions in tourism systematically invest in education of their employees. The research data were collected using the questionnaires. Research included 103 respondents employed in the hotels, tourist agencies, hostels and other objects involved in the tourism activities in the area of the town of Zadar in which the possibility of lifelong learning exists. Organizations in Zadar which invest in human resources by encouraging lifelong learning are also more competitive organizations than those who do not invest in human resources. Most respondents consider that with the investment in the education their own workplace satisfaction would increase. Also, most of the respondents have shown interest for such form of perfecting. A large number of the respondent considers the disinterest and ignorance as principal reasons why the lifelong learning is not conducted.
