Abstract
This thesis is primarily concerned with issues regarding literature for children and young adult audiences in literary translation, that is, issues that appear in literary translation due to the possible lack of adequate methods in the process of translating. After defining and elaborating literature for children and young adult audiences through various theoretical frameworks, this thesis will elaborate issues specific to Helen Cooper’s Pumpkin Soup followed by a short research, which will confirm previously mentioned hypothesis, and determine the quality of the Croatian translation by Sanja Lovrenčić.
Abstract (croatian)
Završni rad bavi se problematikom dječje književnosti i književnosti za mlade u okviru književnog prevođenja, odnosno problemima do kojih u književnom prevođenju dolazi zbog mogućeg nedostatka odgovarajućih metoda u prevođenju. Nakon definiranja i prikaza dječje književnosti i književnosti za mlade kroz razne teorijske okvire, razrađeni su problemi specifični za djelo Pumpkin Soup (Juha od bundeve) Helen Cooper te je priloženo kratko istraživanje u svrhu potkrepljenja navedenih teza i utvrđivanja kvalitete prijevoda Sanje Lovrenčić.
