Abstract
This thesis focuses on classification 159 phraseological units found in 18 Croatian edition of Alan Ford. Phraseology is a linguistic discipline that studies phraseological units or word combinations. Phraseological units are word units whose meaning cannot be deduced from the meanings of its components. Antica Menac is a Croatian linguist that contributed significantly to the field of phraseology in Croatian language. Therefore, this thesis uses Menac's classification in the analysis of the corpus. Menac primarily classifies phraseological units according to their origin, shape and style. PUs in this thesis were classifies according to the shape classification which divides them primarily into phonetic words, word group and sentence-like PUs. Out of 159 PUs found in these comics, 124 were in the form of a word group, 16 in the form of a sentence, 2 were phonetic words and 17 were similes.
Abstract (croatian)
Ovaj rad se bavi klasifikacijom 159 frazema pronađenih u 18 stripova hrvatske verzije stripa Alan Ford. Frazeologija je lingvistička disciplina koja se bavi frazemima tj. kombinacijama riječi. Frazemi su kombinacije riječi čije se značenje ne može izvesti iz značenja komponenti fraze. Antica Menac je hrvatski lingvistkinja koja je uvelike pridonijela hrvatskoj frazeologiji. Iz tog razloga ovaj rad koristi njenu klasifikaciju u analizi korpusa. Menac primarno dijeli frazeme s obzirom na podrijetlo, oblik i stil. Frazemi u ovom radu su podijeljeni prema njihovom izgledu, koje Menac dijeli u tri skupine: fonetske riječi, skupove tj. sveze riječi i rečenice. Od 159 frazema pronađenih u stripovima, 124 ih je imalo oblik sveze riječi, 16 rečenice, 2 su bila fonetske riječi i 17 ih je imalo oblik poredbenih frazema.
